Zomato Circle is a concept feature designed as part of a 48-hour product design task, exploring how group food ordering could be reimagined for parties, gatherings, and shared meals on Zomato. At the time of this project, group ordering was not available on the platform. I noticed that people often placed large orders from multiple restaurants to the same address, especially during group events. I focused on reducing coordination overhead, helping groups make decisions faster, and keeping the experience familiar for regular Zomato users. I introduced shared carts, host-controlled timers, flexible invite options, and separate flows for everyday group orders and large party scenarios. Throughout the design, I aimed to preserve Zomato’s existing single-user experience while layering in collaboration, clarity, and structure for group ordering.
I shared this project on LinkedIn, and it caught the attention of the Zomato team. That eventually led to my product designer role at Zomato.
