Spotify Curate is a web-based tool designed as part of a 48-hour design task for Toddle, focused on addressing the challenges of independent spotify curators in managing and curating Spotify’s rapidly growing content library. As Spotify’s catalog continues to scale, effectively managing, categorizing, and curating content becomes increasingly complex. For this task, the scope was intentionally narrowed to focus on editorial curation, specifically the process of creating and managing playlists. The decision to focus on curation was driven by clearer stakeholder visibility, more well-documented workflows, and the distinct nature of curation compared to content acquisition. The tool aims to support editorial teams by providing structured workflows, reducing guesswork, and enabling more efficient collaboration between editors, artists, and labels.
